Selling
The Bosnian Myth To America: Buyer Beware, By Lieutenant Colonel John
Sray, Foreign Military Studies Office Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, USA, October
1995.
Popular
perceptions pertaining to the Bosnian Muslim government (Bosniacs as they
prefer to be called) have been forged by a prolific propaganda machine.
A strange combination of three major spin doctors, including public relations
(PR) firms in the employ of the Bosniacs, media pundits, and sympathetic
elements of the U.S. State Department, have managed to manipulate illusions
to further Muslim goals.

Labeling
the Serbs As Nazis: The Role Of Ruder Finn, a U.S. Public Relations Firm
The following
is an extract of an interview conducted by Mr. Jacques Merlino (Deputy
Director of the network TV2, Paris, France) with James Harff (Director
of Ruder Finns's Global Public affairs section), which took place in October
1993. "In Bosnia, the situation was no better: President Izetbegovic, in
his book, 'The Islamic Declaration,' strongly supported the creation of
a fundamentalist Islamic state [in Bosnia]. Morover, the Croatian and Bosnian
past was marked by a real and cruel anti-semitism. Tens of thousands of
Jews perished in Croatian camps. So there was every reason for intellectuals
and Jewish organizations to be hostile towards the Croats and Bosnians.
Our challenge was to reverse this attitude. And we succeeded masterfully."

Mystery
of the market massacre, © The Times, 3/28/2000
A Western
diplomat who was in Sarajevo at the time told me in 1999 that he was convinced
the bombing was perpetrated by the Muslim-led Government. The Muslims were
sure that the Serbs would be blamed and hoped that outrage at the carnage
would lead to airstrikes against their foes and increase pressure for a
lifting of the arms embargo that was in place against all the warring sides.

'Slaughter Their Own People', By Leonard Doyle in New York,

The Independent, 2/22/1992.
United
Nations officials and senior Western military officers believe some of
the worst recent killings in Sarajevo, including the massacre of at least
16 people in a bread queue, were carried out by the city's mainly Muslim
defenders – not Serb besiegers – as a propaganda ploy to win world sympathy
and military intervention.

The
Truth About Gorazde, Executive Summary, By Yossef Bodansky & Vaughn
S. Forrest, Task force on terrorism & unconventional warfare, House
Republican Research Committee, 5/4/1994.
At the
outset, the advantage went to the Bosnians who, backed by "Afghan" – mainly
Arab – volunteers, were able to drive out the Christian population in what
was described as an act of ethnic-cleansing." Operating in detachments
of 15 to 20 highly trained and well equipped men, the Bosnian forces and
their allies launched hit and run tactics that were to become the dominant
feature of the early stages of the war and that often found hapless civilians
trapped in the crossfire. Further, by exploiting UN relief efforts into
the town, the Bosnian Muslims were able to infiltrate Gorazde, taking advantage
of the fact that the Serbs were compelled to withdraw in order to make
way for humanitarian operations Thus, by 1993, Gorazde was being reestablished
as a military center by the Bosnian Muslims.
